This policy explains what information Rosetta Reserve collects from visitors to this website, why, and what you can do about it. Rosetta Reserve is currently in a pre-launch, waitlist-only phase — there is no checkout or payment processing on this site yet, so nothing here covers order or payment data.
Information we collect
Waitlist form. If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you provide and your confirmation that you'd like to receive project updates. The form also automatically records a few technical details to help us understand where signups are coming from: the page you signed up on, the referring site (if any), the time of submission, and any campaign-tracking parameters present in the URL (commonly called UTM parameters). We do not ask for your name, address, or any other personal details on this form.
Site analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand overall traffic to this site. It does not use cookies and does not collect information that identifies you individually: visitors are identified only by a one-way hash generated from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours. The data points involved are things like page URL, referring site, approximate location (country/region/city level), and general device or browser type — aggregated across all visitors, never tied back to a specific person.
How we use this information
We use your email address for exactly what the waitlist form says: to send you real updates about the Rosetta Reserve archive and device as they happen. We don't sell it, rent it, or use it for anything else. We use aggregated analytics data to understand which pages and content people find useful, so we can improve the site.
Who we share it with
We use two outside services to run this site, and your information passes through them as part of that:
- Formspree processes waitlist form submissions on our behalf. See Formspree's privacy policy.
- Vercel hosts this site and provides the analytics described above. See Vercel's privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we don't share your email address with any other third party for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist email addresses until you ask us to remove them or until the waitlist itself is retired (for example, once real ordering opens and this page is updated to reflect that). Analytics data is anonymous by design and is retained only in aggregate form for understanding site traffic over time — individual visitor sessions are not stored beyond the 24-hour window described above.
Your choices
You can ask us to remove your email address from the waitlist, or ask what information we have connected to it, at any time by emailing chad@lakegenevaoutdoors.com. We'll honor unsubscribe and deletion requests promptly.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone we know to be under that age.
Where your information is processed
Our hosting and form-processing providers operate infrastructure in the United States. If you're visiting from outside the US, your information may be processed there. If you have specific questions about your rights under your local privacy law, contact us and we'll do our best to help.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way — for example, once real checkout and order processing are added — we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes affecting active waitlist subscribers will also be communicated by email.
